GP1 0467 coming my way.

Hi everyone, picking up 0467 on Saturday, looking forward to it. I've had an R53 JCW as (one of) my daily(s) for the last 5 years, love the thing, said I was going to sell it when I bought my Caterham 7 two years ago.... It's still hanging around! I have always coveted the GP and had a bit of a chat with some of you chaps at Goodwood last October, this one came up cheap (it's a Cat D) so decided to take the plunge. Still not sure if i'm going to sell the JCW, I might keep it for now and use it as a winter car, I think the GP is going to be a bit too special to run all year round. It'll still get plenty of use though, I'm a firm believer that cars should be used, I did 7000 miles in the Caterham last year. First adventure might be a five day hoon to the Alps in a month's time although I'm collecting the car from Liverpool and that's pretty close to North Wales.... Hope to meet some of you soon, I usually attend Beaulieu so I guess that may be first!

Congrats Paul. Totally agree, the GP is a coveted piece of motoring and does need to be driven. My own 1869 was accident damaged to the back quarter back in 2014, but the repair technique still leaves me amazed. So long as it's done right, there's no issue with it being damaged previously. Enjoy! : Regards Ed

home now, drives like a dream, nice blast across the peak district towards home, feels massively punchier compared to my JCW, love it.

Nice ! Mine is my only car and a daily driver. Makes the (short) commute a pleasure though ;-)

It’s 45 miles each way, thankfully I only do four days a week and also lift share so along with using my other vehicles I should keep the miles down a bit!!
